# CommanderBracket

> Free Magic: The Gathering Commander (EDH) toolkit. Build a deck from any commander, ask the judge any rules question, and check your deck's WotC bracket (1-5). No login required.

CommanderBracket is a web + iOS app for the Commander format of Magic: The Gathering. It analyzes any decklist against Wizards of the Coast's 5-tier bracket system (Exhibition / Core / Upgraded / Optimized / cEDH) using a hybrid rule pipeline plus a machine-learning win-turn regressor. It also builds full 100-card decks from a commander + strategy + budget, and answers rules questions grounded in the Comprehensive Rules.

The same engine that powers the app is available to other MTG apps and deck sites. Send a decklist, get back a bracket 1-5 with the reasoning. Free during the partner pilot.

- Base URL `https://mtg-assistant.up.railway.app`, auth via an `X-API-Key` header (server-side only)
- `POST /brackets/deck` is the 15-minute integration: decklist in, bracket + one-line reason + narrative out. Deterministic per decklist, so it caches cleanly
- `/collections/*`, `/commander/build-and-analyze`, `/decks/adjust-bracket` cover collection-powered deck building for scanner and collection apps
- `POST /brackets/feedback` takes user agree/disagree votes on a bracket you displayed, and those votes train the classifier
- Attribution is mandatory: any surface showing our data displays "Powered by Commander Bracket" linking to commanderbracket.app
- Keys are scoped to exactly the endpoints you need. To get one, email keith@commanderbracket.app with your app, the surface you'd show the data on, and your preferred attribution slug

## What it does that other tools don't
- Two-axis bracket model: win-speed AND experience-warp (stax/MLD) so a turn-9 stax deck doesn't mis-classify as Bracket 1
- ML-tuned continuous win-turn prediction, then thresholds map to brackets (not a direct classifier)
- Combo detection via Commander Spellbook plus offline combo fallback
- 25 engine archetypes (tokens, sacrifice, blink, voltron, storm, tribal, landfall, etc.) with engine-aware role classification
- EDHREC synergy data fetched on demand per commander
- TCGPlayer affiliate buy links for any card or full decklist
