Deck visibility: Decks you analyze, build or import are private. A deck becomes visible to other people only when you act, and there are three separate steps. Sharing mints a link, so anyone you send it to can open that deck. Listing adds it to the Library, where anyone can browse it. Featuring puts it on your creator page, the public link that shows off the decks you pick. Each one is its own switch in the deck's share menu. Featuring is never automatic: nothing reaches your creator page unless you switch it on there. When you mint a share link the menu shows whether that deck is also listed in the Library, and you can switch listing off without touching the link. Public decks show the commander, decklist, bracket and any name you gave the deck, never your email or account name. You can turn any of the three off at any time from the same menu, and revoking the link turns off all three at once. Turning a deck off removes it from the Library, from your creator page and from what we send partner sites, though a copy a partner already downloaded is outside our control.
What we collect: If you sign in with Google or Apple, we store your name, email, and user ID to sync saved decks. Decklists you analyze may be logged to improve bracket accuracy. These logs contain only card names and bracket results, with no personal data attached.
Google and Apple account data: Signing in is optional: the bracket checker, deck builder, Ask the Judge, saved decks and your collection all work without an account, stored on your device. An account syncs your saved decks and collection across devices and is required for Deck Chat. When you sign in with Google we receive the basic profile Google shares for sign-in: your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account ID. When you sign in with Apple we receive your name (the first time only), your email address or Apple's private relay address, and an Apple user ID. We use this data only to create your account, show your name and picture in the account menu, keep your saved decks, collection and Deck Chat history in sync across devices, and send the emails described below. It is stored by Supabase, our authentication and database host, encrypted in transit and at rest. We never sell it, never use it to decide which ads you see, never use it to train AI models, and never send it to Anthropic or TypeSafe AI. It is kept until you delete your account, which removes your account record, your saved decks and your collection and revokes sign-in tokens. You can also revoke CommanderBracket's access at any time from your Google Account permissions or Apple Account settings. CommanderBracket's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What we don't collect: No location data, no device fingerprinting. We don't sell data to anyone. Ad cookies set by Mediavine and its partners can count as "sharing" under some US state laws; the opt-out is the Privacy choices link in the footer.
Advertising and analytics: The website shows ads managed by Mediavine and measures traffic with Google Analytics. These set cookies and may use your IP address and browsing activity to pick ads. In the EU, UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent before any of that runs. In US states with privacy laws you can opt out of the sharing of your data for interest-based advertising. Either way, the Privacy choices link in the website footer reopens your options. Pro subscribers are not shown advertising in the app. The iOS app shows no advertising and runs no advertising code.
AI features: Deck Chat and Ask the Judge send what you type to Anthropic to write the answer. For Deck Chat that is your deck list, your commander, your questions and the conversation so far. For Ask the Judge that is your questions, the conversation so far, the cards it references and any card text you paste. Deck Chat answers are then checked for accuracy by TypeSafe AI. That check receives the sentences of the generated Deck Chat answer being checked and the reasons given for its swaps; recent earlier answers in the same chat and the reasons given for earlier swaps; when you continue an earlier chat, a short tail of that chat's messages, yours and the coach's; and the card, deck and tool facts used to check them, which can reflect text you typed. Any of that generated text can repeat or reflect text you typed. No account identifier and no separate copy of your current question is sent. Anthropic does not train on commercial API inputs and outputs by default, with the opt-in and feedback exceptions its policy lists. TypeSafe AI states it does not train on inputs.

Email: Sign-in links, confirmations, and password resets are sent because you asked for them. Product-update emails are separate and opt-in only: you either tick the box yourself or confirm a link we email you, and we never add an address just because it has an account. Every update email has a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing never affects sign-in email. We don't sell, rent, or share the list. Email is delivered by Resend.
Your data: Delete saved decks anytime from Decks. Delete your account from Account settings (open the account menu in the header, then Account settings, then Danger zone), which removes all cloud data and revokes sign-in tokens. If you subscribed to product updates from inside your account, that subscription is removed too; a subscription you made anonymously (from the blog or the site footer) is separate, so use the unsubscribe link in any update email to end it. Not directed at children under 13.
The Website works with Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising appearing on the Website. Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use first and third-party cookies. A cookie is a small text file which is sent to your computer or mobile device (referred to in this policy as a "device") by the web server so that a website can remember some information about your browsing activity on the Website.
First party cookies are created by the website that you are visiting. A third-party cookie is frequently used in behavioral advertising and analytics and is created by a domain other than the website you are visiting. Third-party cookies, tags, pixels, beacons and other similar technologies (collectively, "Tags") may be placed on the Website to monitor interaction with advertising content and to target and optimize advertising. Each internet browser has functionality so that you can block both first and third-party cookies and clear your browser's cache. The "help" feature of the menu bar on most browsers will tell you how to stop accepting new cookies, how to receive notification of new cookies, how to disable existing cookies and how to clear your browser's cache.
