CommanderBracket uses a WotC-aligned 5-tier power level classification system to rate Commander decks. Each bracket represents a different level of optimization and expected game speed. The Intent, Purpose, Objective, Mechanics system analyzes your deck's core engine: how it generates value, what role each card plays, and what combos are present. We classify across 16 engine archetypes (Tribal, Spellslinger, Landfall, Sacrifice, and so on) with sub-engine modifiers (Voltron, Aristocrats, Storm, Reanimator…) and a descriptive strategy axis spanning ~287 themes validated against EDHREC community-deck data. Combos are detected against a database of 40,000+ Commander Spellbook combos, plus an ML-tuned win-turn predictor estimates game speed. Every engine and strategy label ships with a plain-English description so you can see what it means. This ensures bracket classification understands how your deck wins, not just what cards it contains.
Decks are evaluated on two axes: Speed (how fast can this deck threaten a win?) and Game Warp (how much does this deck warp the game around itself - stax locks, mass land denial, extra-turn chains, free interaction? Ordinary removal and counterspells don't count here). The higher of the two determines the final bracket.
Alongside the bracket, every analyzed deck gets two reads about how it actually plays. Deck Health scores the deck out of 100 across Mana, Interaction, and Engine, each measured against typical decks at your bracket running your kind of engine rather than one universal ideal, so a weak Mana score points at the specific thing behind it: land count, untapped lands, or the colors your pips are asking for.
Archenemy Level is a separate axis, and it is not power. It is how a table is likely to feel about the deck, on a ten-level scale from Chill up to Archenemy, weighted so the top rung means roughly one deck in fifty rather than one in five. Open it and you get the patterns behind the rating, each with a reason and the cards driving it.
Composition charts break your mana curve out by card type and set your colored pips against the sources that pay for them. Draw consistency runs the real draw math on your list and reports how often it hits each mark: a keepable opener, three lands by turn three, ramp by turn three, the commander on curve. One card away names the combos your deck already holds every piece of but one, checked against your color identity and format legality so it never points at a card you cannot run.
Pick a commander, then refine with structured options: engine archetype (Tribal, Spellslinger, Landfall, Sacrifice, etc.), bracket target, budget cap, sub-theme, tribe, win condition, interaction level, and exclusions for game changers, tutors, or fast mana. The builder produces a complete 100-card decklist using EDHREC synergy data, engine-aware staples, and combos drawn from a 40,000+ entry Commander Spellbook database. EDHREC data is fetched on demand for new commanders and falls back to mechanic-aware Scryfall queries when needed. No black box, no LLM guesswork in the build path.
Tap Share on any saved deck to mint a public link with a QR code. Recipients see the full bracket evaluation (engine, combos, fast mana, tutors, and a card breakdown you can group by function, type, or impact), and the link previews in iMessage, Discord, and Slack with the commander's art and the deck's bracket. You can also share one creator profile link, a page of just the decks you choose to feature, so people can browse your best work from a single link. Featuring is separate from the Library, so a deck you share or list never lands on your page unless you put it there. Revoke any link anytime to take a deck or your profile private again.
